I actually enjoyed this film and it got 94% on Rotten Tomatoes which I agreed with…an entertaining and funny film. The buddy comradery between Billy Batson/Shazaam (Zachary Levi ) and Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer) was fantastic in my opinion. Both actors were very believable as friends and cohorts!! The special effects were decent and the movie wasn’t slow or tedious. The storyline was a bit out there but any superhero movie plays in the same ballpark. The second movie was a disaster in my opinion. Too many characters muddied the film and the unbelievable storyline in the first film carried and grew out of control in this sequel.

    Who was speaking? Emmy or Oscar? I like both points of view to compare and contrast! In my opinion this was a really funny movie, I watched it with my mother and she liked it too. There are some really funny dialogue parts (there is some swearing though). I HIGHLY recommend this movie, it’s moving up on my list of best movies. And I highly recommend your comic.

      Hi Pat!! Emmy had to sit this one out as she was dealing with family health issues. Thank you for recommending the comic and next up should be Silence of the Lambs (requested).

    Dreadful, probably the worst of the DC films, though it has plenty of competition. An appalling collection of annoying American children with their whiney voices (is this something that stage coaches teach) and the awful Zach Levi. Only the presence of the great British actor Mark Strong going through the motions for an enormous pay-day gains it a star. the comic however was witty and well drawn.

      Thank you Herbert!! I liked it because I was a Shazaam fan back when the Kroft Supershow, I believe had a Shazaam short that it would show and as a kid I liked it. I think Zachary Levi did a good job playing a kid in an adult’s body. I wouldn’t watch it again in it’s entirety as to me, it is a one-watch film.
